The GM card offers a unique advantage above all others: it has helped cardholders redeem points against brand new vehicles.
Here’s how it works: Every time the GM card is used anywhere that displays the MasterCard sign, the cardholder will earn something called Rebate Points at a rate of three per cent of what is spent.
Each point has a value of £1. A cardholder using their GM card for the first time will receive 100 Rebate Points that can be used to save £100 off a new Vauxhall or Saab car.
The points can be accrued and redeemed against a new car with savings of up to £1,500 on a Vauxhall and up to £2,500 on a Saab. These savings can be used in addition to any other offers a dealer may have at the time of purchase.
If a cardholder selects a new car as a company car, they can redeem up to 500 Rebate Points for an equivalent value of high street store vouchers.
Additional Points can be earned if the GM Card is used at GM Card Partners, Vauxhall and Saab dealers for parts and servicing, however Points cannot be collected for petrol and new car purchases.
When using a GM Card at GM Card Partners the cardholder will receive £6 for every £100 spent. When it comes to redeeming Points any number of Points can be redeemed.
The Rebate Points can be used from the moment they appear on the credit card statement, and are redeemable for up to four years from that date. Also, if two cardholders live at one address, they can pool their Rebate Points together. Any Points that have been accumulated can be transferred to an eligible relative, even if they are not a GM cardholder.
The GM card really is the most rewarding automotive credit card available today.
