Marks & Spencer scoops customer award for credit cards

Marks &Spencer Money has won a customer award for being the best credit card provider.

The company has also scooped the prize as best travel insurance provider, in the Your Money Direct Awards 2006.

Although a relatively new entrant into the credit card market, the Marks &Spencer Money card has been praised for its exclusive benefits, such as the loyalty scheme.

The credit card also won praise as it is one of the UK's remaining 0% credit cards, while the "speed and professionalism" of the company's telephone service was also mentioned.

Eddie Nott, deputy chief executive of Marks &Spencer Money, commented: "These awards are very important to us as the judges include a panel of readers, so we’re getting the views of people who could be – or could become – our customers.

"We’re doubly thrilled this year to have come top in the credit card category as well as continuing our success with travel insurance."

The company's travel insurance policy is available to customers online, in single trip or annual cover options.
