The Post Office has unveiled a new credit card deal that may be of interest to customers looking to delay interest repayments on their next shopping spree.

This week, the financial services provider launched a credit card that boasts lending rates of zero per cent on all purchases for three months.

Moreover, the credit card also features zero per cent interest on balance transfers for the first ten months, as well as no commission on purchases made when overseas, which may prove appealing to shopaholics planning a costly shopping trip to Paris or Milan this summer.

Alan Cook, managing director of the Post Office, has indicated that the credit card's features were developed in response to consumer demand.

"The Post Office has listened to what people want from their credit card," he said.

"That's why we're the first in the market to launch a unique card that offers a combination of features - bringing real value to customers."

Recently, financial services company Barclaycard unveiled the Breathe green credit card and pledged to donate 50 per cent of all profits to environmental organisations across the world.
