Credit card customers are switching for better rates

Tue, 25 Mar 2008

Fresh reports in the credit cards news this morning indicate that millions of UK consumers are making sure to switch their credit card providers to take advantage of more competitive rates of interest elsewhere.

MoneyExpert.com found that millions of credit card customers are trying their hardest to reduce their debt levels and how much they spend. Credit cards with lower interest rates can be one way of achieving this, as can switching to cards with 0 per cent balance transfer or 0 per cent purchase rates.

The impact of increasing energy bills and the credit crunch could see many borrowers take an acute interest in their finances as it becomes harder than ever to cope with increasing costs. Other increased costs will have a bearing, such as rising food and fuel prices, and increased mortgage repayments.

Switching credit cards regularly can allow consumers to take advantage of the best rates.
