Visa reveals new credit card

Tue, 11 Nov 2008

Credit card company Visa has revealed their latest advancement in credit card technology at the Cartes and Identification Show in Paris last week.

According to the company, the next few months will see the credit cards undergoing field testing. The new credit card system is a payment card with its own Pin pad. The card features a 12-button keypad and LCD display that lasts up to four years.

The customer inputs their PIN into the card, which then provides a one-off code used to validate an online purchase. Visa are introducing the card to try and cut down on credit card fraud .

So far, Visa claim, the interest in the product has been phenomenal.
