Provider of a range of financial services, ranging from mortgages to insurance, Halifax was founded as a building society in 1853 and is a popular issuer of credit cards in the UK.

The head office is located in Halifax, West Yorkshire, where the business was started all those years ago. It is now part of the giant Lloyds Banking Group.
